Poem: Drown again

Flooding in Hereford & Worcester - BBC

You drown, I drown.
I push your face down,
below the water line.

Your clouds, rain on my clouds.
I wash your made up face, clown,
washing away your time.

Your town, drowns in my town.
Sandbags piled, but tears lay torn
lapping at a lamp lit road sign.

You’re down, I’m down.
We’re out of luck. We drown
again. Drown again, inside.
